Our client in the hospitality industry is seeking to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join its team as the Director of Sales & Marketing to manage and oversee the entire sales operations. This position will require overseas travel.

SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to increase revenue and guest occupancy, while fostering and developing relationships with new and repeat clients/guests and growing the organisation’s market share.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement marketing strategies (long and short-term) to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets.
  • Generate new business through marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, etc.
  • Increase customer loyalty by cultivating long term relationships with clients.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate team members to provide superior customer service to clients.
  • Determine pricing to balance costs, competition, and supply and demand through analysis of market trends.
  • Preparation of sales reports including marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing plans.
  • Consult with stakeholders and sales associates to evaluate company performance.
  • Works with sales associates to ensure understanding of sales strategy and its effective implementation.
  • Collaborate with management team to develop and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment led by the OS.
  • Monitor cross-sell procedures.
  • Ensure the organizatin meets or exceeds budgeted goals.
  • Utilize company profile database to determine geographic areas for travel agent calls while maintaining top and existing travel agent accounts 
  • Assists with the development and implementation of internal and external promotions.
  • Joint collaboration/responsibility with the General Manager for the sales strategy & sales plan.
  • Leads the sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that facilitates achievement of sales objectives.
  • Issue informative press releases to targeted audience highlighting all activities and promotions.
  • Ensure rates are updated and promotions on the website are accurate.
  • Monitor daily activities of direct reports.

 

 QUALIFICATION/ SKILLS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business  Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management.  MBA Degree would be preferred.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience in a Sales and Marketing with at least three (3) years functioning in a senior role.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing.
  • Must be technically proficient
  • Must be able to set up projector and mike system.
  • Must be able to work 6 days per week, including public holidays.
