Beauty Manager
Fontana Ltd. is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Beauty Manager.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Beauty Manager ensures the continued development of our cosmetics department through partnership with our various stakeholders, both internal and external. Fosters the development of our cosmetics team members through continuous reinforcement training and development programs aligned to international best practices.
This position performs duties in some or all of the following functional areas: Ordering, Negotiations, Training.
This position will provide management direction and counseling, and have direct leadership responsibility for all aspects of the Beauty Department, managing all locations of Fontana Pharmacy. This position directly supervises members of the Beauty Department and serves as a coach and mentor for personnel within the company.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
● Develop, establish and maintain proper inventory management procedures and protocols
● Conduct proper inventory audit and stock taking measures
● Monitoring of inventory/stock at all locations.
● Monitor products for movement and success; provide recommendations for plans to improve or remove.Must be able to keep up with trends and new developments in the beauty industry and emerging on the market
● Presenting information about new products to directors, managers, beauty consultants as requested.
● Work closely with suppliers (local & overseas)
- Orders (initial and re-orders)
- Stocks & Stock issues
- New Products
- Identify New Opportunities/Products
- Replacements for major discontinued products
- Product performance based on location
● Product merchandising.
● Category management based on brand and location
● Ensuring proper restocking of products in a timely manner
● Supervision of beauty, personal care and hair care team members at all locations
● Continuous assessment of team’s performances.
● Identifying new pathways to maximize staff satisfaction and productivity
● Conceptualizing and executing new product launches
● In depth knowledge of shipping and logistics procedures
● In depth knowledge of Microsoft excel and retail purchasing procedures
● Identify and arrange training for team members based on department requirements – on-going
● Must have a firm knowledge of customer service and how to build and maintain customer relationship
● Establish relation with all stakeholders
● Negotiation
● Liaise with marketing team regarding rewards/promotions
● Meeting established targets
● Generating reports and presentations as requested.
● Attends workshops and seminars on new product lines as is required
● Conducting product demonstration as is required
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & KEY COMPETENCIES
● BSc. in Business Administration or Management
● At least 5 years’ experience in management – retail experience would be an asset
● Certificate in Supervisory Management
● Certificate in inventory management – would be an asset
● Certificate Beauty Consultant (from a recognized institution)
● High School Certificate and/or Diploma
● Certificate in customer service
● Ability to analyze and solve problems
● Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
● Must display self-confidence particularly when conducting demonstrations and performing makeovers
● Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
● Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate (verbal, listening, oral, writing) and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential
● Must be detailed oriented with superb organizational skills
