The Finance Officer is required to perform VM Group accounting and investments duties assigned.

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Professional qualification in accounting to at least ACCA Level 3 or equivalent
  • Three (3) years accounting experiencein accounts and investments, preferably at a financial institution
  • Knowledge International Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To reconcile the General Ledger and Investment Systems for the various VM Group entities.
  • Obtain inputs and compute amortization and mark to market adjustments for investment securities, in accordance with IFRS.
  • Perform impairment tests on Investments based on assessments of the market and other factors in accordance with IFRS.
  • Assess adequacy of loan loss provisions and adjust as appropriate.
  • Perform other reconciliations and checks so as to ensure the integrity of the General Ledgers for the various VM Group entities.
  • Other assigned duties.
