Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will be a key contributor to our projects, working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze processes, and translate requirements into actionable solutions. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, streamlining operations, and ensuring successful project implementations.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, preferably within the technology, media, or marketing industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, process modelling, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines                                   

EXPERIENCE:

  • Requirement Elicitation: Demonstrated expertise in eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements from diverse stakeholders, including executives, end-users, and subject matter experts.
  • Process Analysis and Optimization: Track record of successfully analyzing complex business processes, identifying pain points, and proposing innovative solutions for process optimization and automation.
  • Data Analysis: Strong proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools to extract meaningful insights from large datasets, support decision-making, and drive data-informed strategies.
  • Solution Design: Proven ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and system requirements, collaborating effectively with development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in building and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders at various levels, from C-suite executives to front-line staff, ensuring alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Prior involvement in developing UAT plans, test cases, and coordinating testing efforts with end-users to validate system functionality and ensure smooth deployment.
  • Change Management: Familiarity with change management principles and experience in identifying potential risks and challenges related to process changes, along with developing strategies to mitigate resistance and ensure successful adoption.
  • Training Support: Proven ability to create training materials and deliver training sessions to equip end-users with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively utilize new systems and solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: A track record of seeking out opportunities for continuous process improvement, driving innovation, and implementing best practices to achieve business growth and operational excellence.
  •  Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience working with technical teams and a good understanding of software development lifecycle and technical concepts.

  •  Excellent Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Requirements Elicitation and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and document business objectives, goals, and requirements for projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough interviews, workshops, and meetings to elicit detailed business requirements and capture user stories.
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility

 Process Analysis and Optimization:

  • Analyze current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop process models, flow diagrams, and data models to visualize business processes and their interdependencies.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Perform in-depth data analysis to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with data teams to gather, validate, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

 Solution Design and Documentation:

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, use cases, and system requirements documents.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables.
  • Create comprehensive and accurate documentation of business processes, requirements, and specifications.

 Stakeholder Management and Communication:

  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and progress updates to keep stakeholders informed about project developments.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and feedback to ensure project success and alignment with business objectives.

 User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

  • Develop UAT plans, test cases, and scenarios to validate system functionality and ensure it meets business requirements.
  • Coordinate UAT with end-users and stakeholders, capturing feedback and managing issue resolution.
  • Ensure successful UAT completion before project deployment.

 Change Management and Training Support:

  • Assist in change management efforts, identifying potential risks and challenges related to process changes.
  • Develop training materials and user guides to support the adoption of new solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions to equip end-users with the knowledge and skills needed for successful system implementation.

 Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis and process optimization.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation to drive business growth and efficiency.

 SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB:

  • Normal office environment.
  • May be required to work on weekends and or public holidays.
  • Working long hours to complete time-sensitive projects.
  • Hours of work – Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5: 00 p.m.
