The Distribution Centre Manager will:

  • Lead and manage the Distribution Centre to drive results while maintaining and promoting a positive work climate with a high level of integrity
  • Work with the Operation & Services leadership team and other stakeholders to implement the company's mission, vision and values
  • Define and implement the strategic plan while ensuring that the budget, employees and priorities are aligned with company goals
  • Provide strong governance, financial and programmatic management in designing, implementing and monitoring the Distribution Centre including standards of logistic and warehouse, accountability, transparency and customer experience
  • Minimize operational cost while maintaining efficiencies and delivering a high customer experience
  • Increase efficiencies and consistency throughout the organization by developing and implementing solutions to improve productivity and excellence
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the warehouse aimed at measuring efficiencies based on long and short-term goals
  • Lead and promotes a safety-first work culture
  • Plan and manage the financial resources of the Distribution Centre
  • Lead to maintain the non-structural assets (Structure and facilities)
  • Lead the team in warehouse best practices Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) 
  • Promote and manage adherence to all company policies and safety requirements as prescribed by the business and best practices
  • Leads the operational objectives for quarterly/monthly/daily stock counts
  • Ensures all roles are adequately filled and covered in the DC with the support of the Human Resource Department
  • Manages and maintains 3PL relationships to drive productivity, compliance and improved customer service levels

 

The Distribution Centre Manager – should have:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field 
  • At least 4 years of experience in warehousing and distribution management 
  • Strong strategic planning and forecasting skills
  • Highly skilled in operations management, stock control, and budget management 
  • Strong analytical prowess and creative problem-solving ability 
  • A strong leader with the ability to set clear priorities, create efficiencies in systems and processes,  drive high levels of  performance and productivity in a positive work climate
  • An affinity to austere cost control 
  • Exceptional integrity and attention to details
  • Sound Knowledge of warehousing and distribution best practices  
  • Expert knowledge of SAP
  • Expert skills with Excel
