The Recruiting and Talent Management Specialist will be responsible for the full Recruitment Process, On- boarding of new hires and Talent Management for Chukka Caribbean Adventures Limited and it’s Subsidiaries.
Overview of Role:
The Recruiting and Talent Management Specialist will be responsible for the full Recruitment Process, On- boarding of new hires and Talent Management for Chukka Caribbean Adventures Limited and it’s Subsidiaries.
He or she will also play a key role in building and managing the Talent bank, driving and supporting the talent agenda and succession plan for the business, and the strategic design of career development experiences across the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Preferred Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- At least 2-3 years experience working as a Recruiter or Talent Management Coordinator
- Excellent Computer skills and proficiency at Microsoft Office suite and basic technology literacy is essential.
- Lean Six Sigma trained is an asset
- Supervisory Training

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting
- Consult with the Human Resources Director, Department Managers and Human Resources Business Partner to conduct forecasting exercises with operation leads, coordinate staffing needs, hire requests and requisitionsIdentifies and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
- Coordinate all recruitment activities to attract candidates for open positions
- Visit Job fairs, schools, communities etc. to scout new talents
- Liaise with Marketing & Communications team to create & advertise for new job vacancies
- Create and maintain a vibrant recruitment space for Chukka via Social Media platforms
- Create New Hire employee experience life cycle process from recruitment to 120 days
- In conjunction with Manager and Department Heads; streamline, write and store Job Descriptions
- Coordinate contractual periods for manpower around yearly slow and peak seasons
- Conducts Employer’s Market compensation and benefits analysis for various roles providing competitive and feasible options for salary negotiations
- Record and track recruitment and talent management data
- Prepare & present reports on new hire metrics (e.g. fill rate, conversion rate, time-to-fill, backfills vs new fills, attrition rate etc.)
- Coordinate and execute the hire process, completing the full recruitment cycle liaising with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
- Completing on-boarding orientation for all new hires.
- Coordinate with Training Officer to ensure that new hires receive the On-Boarding Training Plan specific to their role/department where applicable.
- Coordinate with Training Officer to monitor and ensure that Department Leaders are adhering to the training/on-boarding plans for new hires.
- Create and administer New Hire 90 day surveys and ensure feedback is provided to the Human Resources Director triennially.
- Assist in developing and maintaining effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning.
