DESCRIPTION – GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SUPERVISOR

Oversees and manages all GSE maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical area for GSE works with attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Accountable for managing the budget, expenditure, preventative and schedule maintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements. Assists in leading the emergency response team for all GSE facility issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to prioritize duties under pressure.
  • · Manages the GSE repair facilities including equipment at and away from base
  • · Ensures compliance to facility regulations and safety standards as set by the company.
  • · Develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection; overseeing execution of plan.
  • · Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion.
  • · Performs monthly GSE inspections to ensure equipment, buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition.
  • · Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of GSE in order to determine the type of work required.
  • · Recommends or arranges for additional services not provided in house such as painting, repair work and the replacement of unserviceable equipment.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • · High School diploma or equivalent.
  • · Ability to complete all paperwork to a high standard
  • · Must have ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from crewmembers and management with tact and professionalism, and demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • · Experience in servicing, repair or maintenance of materials handling equipment (MHE), construction plant, agricultural machinery or powered access equipment (MEWP), or Forklift trucks.
  • · A background in GSE/MHE.
  • · GSE / Motor Mechanics Engineering City & Guilds (or equivalent)
  • · Knowledge of automotive, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components
  • · Excellent customer service skills
  • · 5 years checkable work history in order to obtain an airside pass
  • · High Gross Vehicle (HGV) Class 1 License (DESIRABLE)
  • · 2 years HGV maintenance experience (DESIRABLE)
  • · Confidentiality and strong attention to detail and follow-through is required.
  • · Position requires shift work - days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • · Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-years criminal history check and security threat assessment.

 

RENUMERATION: Commensurate with experience.
