We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented individual to ensure that the Food Safety Management system of procedures which conforms to Goddard’s Catering Group, international, local and airline standards is implemented and maintained.

GODDARD CATERING GROUP (JAMAICA) LIMITED, is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 locations across the Caribbean and Latin America.  We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented individual to fill the role of Quality Coordinator in our Kingston location.

 

The Position:

The Quality Coordinator will report to the Quality Manager.

The selected candidate would be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that non-conformances are brought to the attention of the Executive Chef/Operations Manager/Head Chef/Production Supervisor/Stores Manager for immediate attention.
  • Ensuring that daily checks on processes and documentation are routinely done and non-conformances documented for follow-up.
  • Ensuring that all quality records are held in safe custody. 
  • Ensuring that quality system documentation received from Goddard Catering Group is controlled and issued only to relevant personnel, as required.
  • Ensuring that Adherence to policies and procedures outlined in quality/other quality-related manuals are verified and when non-conformance is found, corrective action is taken, as required.
  • Initiating investigations in accordance with the Quality Manager in response to airline customer complaints and submitted to relevant personnel, within stated deadlines.
  • Promoting companywide quality improvement efforts are promoted.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with Food Safety training.
  • Conducting frequent inspections of all food storage facilities and sanitation areas.
  • Ensuring that unsanitary conditions are immediately brought to the attention of the Quality Manager.

Qualification & Experience

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree with major in Chemistry or a similar field.  

  • Advance understanding of HACCP/Food Safety Management principles. 

  • A minimum of two (2) years working experience in Quality Assurance/Food Safety Management.

  • Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs.

  • Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities.
