Job Summary

We are New Era Finance Limited, with corporate office situated in Kingston. The position is open for our Kingston Office. We are looking for a skilled HR Officer who will spearhead our staff recruitment, support and develop our team through engaging policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for various administrative tasks as well as fostering an enhanced culture environment that makes our company a great place to work.

If you are passionate about HR and highly efficient, give us a chance to meet you. We expect you to have knowledge of various HR functions. We want to see a committed and approachable individual and be impressed with your character and skills.

The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to both employees and managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Be actively involved in recruitment and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Organize training and development programs for our team
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Be willing to travel island wide

 

Qualifications and skills

  • Knowledge of HR functions to include pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • Two (2) years’ related experience in a similar capacity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Professional values and attitudes suitable for a financial institution
  • Demonstrate soft skills
