Our Trinidad Finance team is currently recruiting a Payroll Clerk. This position report directly to the Payroll Officer/Assistant Director of Accounting Operations. The role will provide direct support to the Payroll Officer on the general payroll function including but not limited to necessary filings, month-end close journals and reporting within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Payroll Officer and general payroll function on:
• Preparation and disbursement of monthly Payroll
• Preparation and Submission of monthly statutory payments 
• Enrollment of Pension/Medical for employees
• Reconciling pension accounts and prepare necessary submissions
• Prepare and reconcile Payroll general ledger accounts
• Preparation and post payroll related journals
• Preparation of annual returns
• Prepare Forecast for payroll
• Maintaining Foreign Petty Cash Float - reconciling and processing transactions in Accounting System
• Providing support to Assistant Director of Accounting Operations as needed
• Any other ad hoc duties within the Finance team as needed

Experience

• Pursuing or studying towards any related accounting / business qualification such as ACCA. CAT
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in a Payroll- related position within a finance team
• Prior working knowledge of HRp5 is an asset.
