PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR

The successful applicant will be responsible for showcasing and fostering active interest in the work of the Sandals Foundation throughout our Caribbean communities. He/she will be responsible for the Foundation’s communications portfolio including, but not limited to, creating and conceptualizing print, video and social media assets

 Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Developing annual Public Relations plans and proactively planning for public relations opportunities for the Sandals Foundation
• Creating and distributing social media content, monitoring social media presence and designing initiatives to increase interest in social media channels
• Contributing to website content updates and providing feedback on site improvements
• Collating content and input for production of the Sandals Foundation e-newsletter.
• Monitoring distribution data and developing strategies for increasing distribution numbers
• Developing media relations locally and overseas and creating opportunities for media coverage and feature stories
• Assisting with logistics for select Sandals Foundation events
• Developing and maintaining annual Public Relations event calendar

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Public Relations
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in similar capacity
• Excellent oral and creative writing, communication and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Illustrator and other related programmes
• Ability to work outside of normal hours, including on weekends and public holidays
