Chief Procurement Officer

To manage, administer, review, compare, analyse, and approve products and services. Monitor all D1 Group of Companies inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records to ensure the procurement department runs smoothly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Create and maintain relationships with current and future Venders/Suppliers.
• Estimate and establish budgets for all purchases.
• Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain purchase records and other important data.
• Negotiate pricing and supply contracts.
• Develop plans for purchasing services and supplies.
• Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards.
• Work with team members to complete duties as needed.
• Maintain and update a list of all suppliers.
• Manage Procurement department – (training, recruitment and organizing).

Educational Qualifications and Skills

• BA or BSc in Business Management/ Supply Chain Management.
• Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS Level 5) or a related qualification.
• Exposure to the Industry/Inventory Management would be an asset.
• Financial and Cost Management skills.
• Time and Project Management skills.
• Strong Communication and Presentation Skills.
• Ability to generate innovative solutions and proactively build effective work relationships.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of seven and more managers and purchasing officers’, cross border.
• Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and a great attitude.
• Manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the Caribbean and the Americas.
