Inside Sales Directory/Digital Consultant

The Inside Sales Directory/Digital Consultant reporting to the Inside Sales Team Leader is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service to our customers and achieving assigned targets in the delivery of the full suite of products. 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in sales.
  • Proven experience working as an Advertising Sales Representative.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office suites.
  • Knowledge of all products and services offered by Yello Media Group.
  • Additional relevant sales and marketing certification.
  • A proven track record of excellent telesales, customer service and achieving targets.

  MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 The Inside Sales Directory Consultant's responsibilities are: 

  •  Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas established during the yearly sales canvass.
  • Contact new and existing customers that are assigned to him/her, by Telephone, to arrange for the customers’ representation in the next issue of the directories or online, for free listings and/or paid advertising; and obtain the customer’s approval via Telephone, e-mail, or messaging.
  • Ensure that he/she explains to each customer all the details pertinent to the advertising they have agreed to purchase. E.g., How billed and frequency, monthly & annual expenditure, items, headings, distribution month, etc. and to ensure the correct authorization is obtained and also that contract copies are sent to the customer.
  • To explain all relevant directory and digital solutions to each customer, so they can make an informed decision re their representation in print or online or other services.
  • Advise the customer that all the Terms and Conditions are printed on the reverse side of the Agreement.
  • Hand in accounts on an even flow basis, to meet the target workflow benchmark dates schedule, along with the stipulated percentage increase target, which will be provided at the start of the campaign.
  • Ensure all documentation is properly completed in a timely manner, and maintain excellent customer service internally and externally, for the success of his/her portfolio.
  • Maintain communication with customers, making as many calls or messages as necessary, to secure yearly advertising contracts.
  • Respond to complaints received within one (1) business day of receipt. He/she should also complete the relevant Complaint Form immediately to enable the resolution of the complaint within 5 business days.
  • Handle internal queries when received, completely and accurately and return them for re-processing, within one business day of receipt, if possible, or at a Sales Closing deadline - within the same hour of that day.
  • Ensure each proof requested and received by him/her is reviewed with the customer and authorization obtained prior to the closing date.
  • Ensure his/her assigned accounts (and related contracts) are fully completed and handed in by the closing dates that will be posted at the start of the canvass unless permission is given by the Company to process any account/s beyond the close date in question.
  • Adhere to sales guidelines as established by the Inside Sales Team Leader/ Inside Sales Manager/Senior General Sales Manager and at all times carry and conduct yourself in a fashion that complements and enhances the good image of the unit and the Company.
  • Assist in the proofing of the directory during production.
  • Adhere to company office hours as outlined Inside Sales Manager & SGSM Jamaica.
  • Comply with requests/instructions from the Inside Sales Team Leader/Inside Sales Manager & SGSM communicated via Telephone, email, or word-of-mouth, including requests for written reports as may be needed.

 Special Conditions Associated with the Job:

  •  Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable motor vehicle.
  • Normal office environment.
  • Overtime will be required.
  • May be required to work on weekends and or public holidays
