The operations and maintenance supervisor coordinates the installation, maintenance, and necessary repair work within the plant in an urgent and timely manner, to resume and support the daily operational functions. They will manage a team of workers, regularly inspect the site, execute work as necessary, maintain equipment and assign workers to various projects as needed.

We are looking to employ a maintenance supervisor with an outstanding knowledge of building trades, plumbing and electronic procedures and maintenance. A maintenance supervisor is expected to have exceptional organizational and time management skills, while displaying natural leadership and attention to detail. To ensure success, maintenance supervisors should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of building maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, cleaning and managing staff. The top candidate will be experienced in building and equipment maintenance procedures while having extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect site regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
• Supervise, and train workers.
• Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
• Submit regular reports on repairs, completed work and recommendations.
• Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
• Conduct preventative maintenance work.
• Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
• Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
• Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.

Operations/Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

• Certification in electrical and/or plumbing and/or maintenance.
• Years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of operational and maintenance tools, practices, and procedures.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Effective budgeting and performance management.
• Organizational and leadership skills.
• Great eye for detail.
• Flexible
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Literate in physical and technical tools, electronic and physical systems.
• Great time management skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a similar role or industry would be an asset.
