The incumbent is responsible for the installation, maintenance repair and overhauls of all heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and auxillary equipment i.e. cooling water, heat exchanger, water softener.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position at the North-Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA):

 HVACR TECHNICIAN IV

The incumbent is responsible for the installation, maintenance repair and overhauls of all heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and auxillary equipment i.e. cooling water, heat exchanger, water softener. To ensure optimum reliability and minimum downtime of these equipment.

 Main Responsibilities

• Maintains all HVACR systems auxillary equipment.
• Assists in planning and scheduling repairs, overhauls and preventative maintenance on air handlers, air extract systems, windows AC units, spit AC systems chillers, refrigerators, water coolers, ice machines, cool rooms and all other  designated HVACR equipment throughout the Complex with minimal disruption to services
• Fits planned jobs into daily schedule according to operating conditions, manpower requirements and availability of materials.
• Reviews spare parts on a regular basis for the various equipment purchase adequate spares for maintenance of equipment.
• Reviews and ensure that adequate spares are kept in stores stock.

 Minimum Qualification, Requirements and Experience:

• National Technician’s Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• A recognised apprenticeship in the air-conditioning and refrigeration.
• Certification in air-conditioning and refrigeration from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of ten (10) year practical experience in installation, maintenance, overhaul and repairs of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems with at least three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory position.

 *Certificates acquired at foreign universities MUST be supported by certified transcripts as well as evidence that the completed programme is accredited in Trinidad and Tobago.*
