MINIMUM QUALIFYING CRITERIA

  • Full ACCA/CPA qualification; CIMA/Master’s Degree in Accounting will be considered
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Minimum five (5) years accounting experience including three (3) years as a Senior Accountant
  • Strong cost accounting acumen (creating and analysing with the use of accounting systems and spreadsheets)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles from basic to senior level to accurately analyse financial reports and forecasts.
  • Period end closing process and related reporting.
  • Various financial and cost analyses for driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the business.
  • Possess the ability to develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment.
  • Review annual accounts in accordance with IFRS and provide technical accounting IFRS/GAAP guidance.
  • Oversee compliance of international controls.
  • Review annual budgets, quarterly budget scenarios and monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Assist in Capital Expenditure projects including IRR calculations budgets.
  • Assist in the implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and financial policies.
  • Knowledge of cost and management accounting principles.
  • Proactively prepare various cost information for Management decision making purposes.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Accountant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, all accounting functions in the general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax, financial and compliance reporting, forecasting costing files, assisting with the annual budget, inventory management and recording, and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions, etc.

 In addition, the Accountant is expected to participate in projects that improve efficiency, and/or operating costs and interact with management to meet the information needs of the organization.  Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to effectively explain and present information.  Self-motivated with interest in continuous learning and improvement.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times. 

Attractive remuneration package includes medical plan and gratuity (10%).
