Senior Business Analyst 

Salary Range: Cl$ 73,416-$96,336

                           US $87,400-$114,685

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Cayman Islands Government and become a vital member of a highly collaborative team “To make the lives of those we serve better” .The Senior Business Analyst will ensure that business processes and supporting systems continue to meet business project stakeholder needs and government’s strategic directions and objectives.

The Senior Business Analyst will lead and facilitate business process improvement/reengineering/ (BPI/R) for projects across Government to: improve customer experience and efficiency, to enhance or create competitive advantage for the Cayman Islands and to reduce cost to provide services. This position deals with the more tactical, day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modelling, simulating and analysing current and future states. Education & Experience: The post-holder must possess:
⦁	Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in science, engineering or business, with at least seven (7) years of related business discipline experience. An M.B.A. or other advanced degree in business or social sciences with at least five (5) years of related business discipline experience would be preferred; OR
⦁	A more mature entrant with an industry-recognized relevant technical accreditation plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant post-accreditation experience.

Additional qualifications/certifications in Business Process Modelling and Notation (BPMN) and Business Process Improvements (BPI) and programme and project management would be a distinct advantage.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

•Three (3) years of process improvement experience, especially experience that leverages technology as part of the solution.Hands-on experience with process modelling, analysis and simulation tools.Experience working on projects using a variety of process redesign methods (such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Total Quality Management etc.).Track record of working on projects that delivered different types of business outcomes: revenue growth and customer satisfaction, for example, not just process efficiency or cost reduction.

•Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including the end-to-end test cycle, as well as agile/iterative development and delivery.Business domain experience in the process areas being supported would be advantageous.Broad experience and working knowledge of Government’s organisational structure and functions, including budget and financial control and personnel management procedures will be beneficial.

•Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, including excellent presentation and interviewing skills.
Ability to work within high-performing virtual teams and highly collaborative.Command of the BPM modelling notation (such as Business Process Model and Notation [BPMN]) used by the organization.Knowledge and experience in business process modelling and analysis tools. Knowledge and experience in BPI methods, such as Lean Six Sigma, as well as more modern, agile methods. Background in root cause, bottleneck, impact and other process (not systems) analysis methods.Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.

•Able to change process models and rules in BPMS or other BPM technologies.Knowledge of finance, accounting, valuation and metrics development; statistical analysis skills are a plus.Teaching/educating/coaching/mentoring stakeholders toward desired business outcomes.Good knowledge of various computer-based tools such as Microsoft Office, JIRA and project management software such as Teamwork/ Microsoft Project.Familiarity with application delivery methods, experience with e-commerce, Web architecture, and Internet/intranet development and implementation is a plus.Project management and change management skills and experience is a plus.
