Job position Summary-
Project and schedule the tasks of the maintenance program approved by the Civil Aviation TCI CAA, in order to maintain the continuous airworthiness of the operations and rotatable components, as well as generate statistical reports, trends and analysis of the use by hours and cycles of the fleet aircraft, and manage the use of human resources and materials necessary for technical support during the execution of maintenance inspections and scheduled checks and control maintenance productivity.
Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for-
Generate projections (Forecast) of aircraft tasks and controlled components.
Coordinate the availability of aircraft for maintenance.
Verify previously submitted work packages and close in system (RAAS).
Provide support of effectiveness and applicability to different areas of maintenance.
Coordinate the follow-up of orders for scheduled materials with the warehouse and international purchases.
Attend the technical audits of the TCI CAA.
Control and update the control system (RAAS) of aircraft components.
Coordinate with the fleet engineer or engine engineer to carry out maintenance tasks.
Statistics Responsibilities
Receive daily sheets of the TLB (Technical Logs), to establish the hours and cycles of use.
Enter the computerized system, verifying the data entered in the TLB, by the cockpit crew members are correct, otherwise, in the event of an error, request the OCC Operational Control Center for the real times.
Issue weekly and monthly statistical reports for the projection of maintenance program tas
Production Control Responsibilities
Carry out a technical analysis of the feasibility of compliance with the package, its sequence and procedures established in the maintenance manuals.
Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and the quality control inspector to distribute the tasks of the work package to be executed considering the technical capabilities of the staff.
Keep a record of the non-routine cards generated during the planned works, verifying the technical evaluation to determine that it does not affect the airworthiness of the aircraft.
Receive from the Supervisor or Inspector the work cards completed by the maintenance personnel.
Make statistical charts of the completed tasks, maintain an average of man hours used per task according to the manual, and record the actual man hours after execution.
Coordinate with the OCC, in agreement with the Inspectors and Supervisors, the last minute changes of the aircraft not scheduled for maintenance to comply with the flight itineraries
Comply with the laws, regulations and established norms that allow the improvement of the products and services of interCaribbean Airways, acting on time on opportunities for improvement and/or risks that may affect the image or operation of the company.
Execute the other functions assigned or delegated by the competent authority. Complying with and enforcing current laws, standards, processes and legal technical procedures, in order to improve efficiency, quality and work environment at interCaribbean Airways.
