To participate in the design and review of engineering solutions and initiatives to optimize core operational processes, systems and equipment and realize new engineering opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements engineering schedules and work plans.
- Prepares specifications and operating instructions for equipment.
- Provides detailed engineering design in support of projects.
- Support of projects with engineering/screening studies, estimates, equipment specification, vendor/contractor review, commissioning and start-up.
- Participates in the planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
- Provides specialist engineering diagnostics, troubleshooting and recommendations to ensure availability, address equipment failures, support investigations, and improve equipment strategies and reliability.
- Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
- Provides engineering reports and technical reviews.
- Provides continuous monitoring, review, troubleshooting and optimization of operational processes.
- Maintains engineering standards, specifications, best practices and other key engineering data.
- Executes feasibility studies to increase system outputs and production optimization recommendations.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process or Electrical preferred).
- Professional certification to at least one of the following: Certified by the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago, a Professional Engineer (P.E.) US standard or Chartered Engineer (C.E.) UK standard will be an asset.
Minimum Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience, with a minimum of two (2) years working experience in the oil and gas industry.
