Inventory Manager

This Inventory Manager role offers the opportunity to lead the Inventory function, ensuring strict adherence to inventory control procedures. It requires an aptitude to understand, identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Additionally,you must be able to work independently and display strong initiative. 

(S)he must be willing to multi-task as the need arises and possess a responsible, flexible, and confident personality. In order to contribute to meeting the goals, objectives, and overall success of the department, you will be required to display maturity and good interpersonal skills, combined with a positive work attitude.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures to minimize inventory loss.
  • Receive and verify all inventory entering and leaving the Warehouse.
  • Review posting all Goods Receipts and Purchase invoices generated by Inventory Controllers.
  • To track all inventory items reserved and authorize Stock Transfers in and out of reserve sites.
  • Monitor reserve sites to ensure items are regularly released according to policy.
  • Monitor loaner sites to ensure that items are properly accounted for.
  • Plan and perform quarterly and year-end stock counts and reconcile and report on stock variances.
  • Plan and perform regular cycle counts and make stock adjustments.
  • Perform regular stock checks at random and reconcile them to the system.
  • Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory and report all inventory discrepancies discovered.
  • Complete all stock adjustments for month-end close and provide Inventory reconciliation to the General ledger.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse and Purchasing Teams to propose strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
  • Communicates with inventory employees to ensure entire business goals are met.
  • Manages the recruitment, training, and development of inventory employees.

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Logistics, or relevant field.
  • CPIM qualifications preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of working experience in Inventory Counts, Reconciliation, and Costings.
  • Proven experience as an inventory manager will be a plus.

Specific Knowledge Required:

  • Working knowledge of inventory management software (eg ERP).
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
  • Computer literate and Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
