.A vibrant and energetic personality to become steward of local and international brands within the Agricultural Department. The individual should assist in the creation of and be responsible for the implementation of strategies supporting the brand’s vision.

KEY  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with the warehouse re: status of customers’ orders/deliveries and communicating accordingly
  • Conduct inventory counts as required
  • Develop and execute detailed marketing plans with clear objectives in accordance with appropriate strategies and tactics vital for the growth of his/her brands
  • Develop appropriate sales and  marketing strategies to execute actionable KPI’s
  • Prepare purchase orders for suppliers of inventory
  • Coordinate all promotional activities for the division inclusive of agricultural shows and customers’ in-house events
  • Assist with the supervision of the Farm Store and Warehouse as required
  • Maintain a healthy communication channel (verbal and non-verbal) with suppliers regarding product performance, orders, challenges, competitive analysis etc. on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Conduct weekly trade visits and meet with the appropriate managers to discuss challenges, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses in the performance of each brand
  • Engage in appropriate non-trade events to generate product awareness and acceptance
  • Analyze consumer trends/ information to help identify categories/ products for future growth
  • Design special promotional activities for the trade with emphasis on supermarkets and wholesales
  • Develop and execute plans to improve product performance across channels
  • Set monthly targets for the sales team in collaboration with the Sales Manager for all brands and implement strategies to support achievement of same
  • Work closely with the sales team ensuring proper coverage of targeted customers based on approved objectives.

 REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • University degree in marketing or closely related sector
  • Experience in Agricultural Sales will be an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years practical experience working in, sales or promotions
  • Excellent customer engaging and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate with proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Efficient problem solving and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate professionally and effectively
  • Detail oriented
