The Customer Care Specialist will be part of the initial contact team dedicated to assisting potential and existing customers in obtaining quotes and claims updates and resolving online application issues.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Receive and action inbound and outbound calls for the Call Center Department.
  • Receive and action inbound calls for quotations for various lines of insurance.
  • Place outbound follow-up calls to potential customers who have obtained quotations.
  • Actively sell to potential clients via approved campaigns.
  • Recognize opportunities to cross/up-sell additional products/ services that are of benefit to customer.
  • Meet Quality Assurance Requirements and other key performance metrics.
  • Keep up to date on changes and new developments in General Insurance products and practices.
  • Assist customers with any issues experienced on the website with purchasing one of the company's Insurance Products and immediately escalate any unresolved issues to management.
  • Product Sales Support and answer questions from customers about product details, the company, or issues with their policy
  • Provide telephone claims service support.

ACADEMIC / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
  • A minimum of five (5) CXC passes including Math and English (minimum grade 2).
  • A minimum of one (1) year Customer Service and / or Sales Experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year working experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry will be an asset.
