ENGINEERING MANAGER (Manufacturing Sector)

Overview: Our client is a globally recognized brand of premium beverages with multiple sites across Barbados. 

Due to growth, they are seeking to appoint a proven Engineering Manager to join the team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensures that preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans are created and effectively implemented.

• Acts as the technical lead for New Product Development projects (packaging design feedback, an adaptation of our packaging lines, etc.)
• Holds responsibility for building and monitoring the Operational Expenditure budget for maintenance at the various sites.
• Guarantees the creation of the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budget and the monitoring and quality of execution of our CAPEX projects.

• Ensures the identification and prioritization of technical losses impacting industrial performance and defines corrective actions.
• Conveys a sense of urgency, facilitates decisions and mobilizes the department to solve problems that contribute to achieving the Company’s objectives (i.e. production planning, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, costs, etc.).

• Develops the continuous improvement approach within his/her teams to ensure skills development.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or any other related discipline.
• At least eight years’ experience in an engineering environment, with at least three years’ experience at a middle management level
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office; AUTOCAD, PLC programming)
