The Credit Solutions Manager - Investment Banking will work closely with other members of the Investment Banking team to manage transactions and develop documentation to support the overall execution of Debt, Mezzanine, Private Credit and other Alternative Investments structures.

Overview:

The Credit Solutions Manager -  Investment Banking will work closely with other members of the Investment Banking team to manage transactions and develop documentation to support the overall execution of Private Credit and other Alternative Investments structures.

He/She will work closely with other senior members in the Sygnus Team to structure Private Credit transactions and develop documentation to support the overall execution. These structures include Promissory Notes, Commercial Paper, Factoring, Medium term Notes, and other debt structures. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow from working closely with some of the most experienced and innovative Investment Banking professionals in the region. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and review the overall underwriting process for the various alternative

investments. 

  • Work with IB Associates/Analysts to review the analysis on companies to determine suitability for investment and make recommendation
  • Manage the annual review process for existing investments and credits
  • Lead and manage the transactions to different committees for approval
  • Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the alternative financing process
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients, in order to expand business
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions
  • Assist with the origination, structuring and syndications of investment banking and alternative investments in products and solutions.
  • Support the origination, structuring and underwriting of alternative investments products (private credit & real estate financing) and solutions.
  • Develop and review various types of financial models to support debt, mezzanine, and preference equity structures.
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions.
  • Review the analysis on companies to determine suitability for investment and make recommendations.
  • Prepare underwriting memos and present transactions to different committees for approvals.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients to expand business and IB footprint in the region.
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions
  • Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the financing of clients, including investment memoranda, management presentations and pitchbooks.

Relevant Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • MBA, MSC or equivalent education, training and work-related experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or equivalent.
  • CFA Charterholder or at least a Level II candidate, would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in banking, finance or business, particularly on the quantitative area.
  • Advanced reporting and data analytics knowledge and experience.
  • Solid strategic thinker and problem solver.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities.
  • Team player, with strong coaching, feedback and listening skills.
  • Good understanding of private credit investment securities such as bilateral notes and debt structures.
  • General understanding of international financial markets and the economies of the Caribbean.
  • Excellent financial modelling experience and expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, organization and presentation skills. 
  • High degree of integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, innovative inclination, and strong work ethic.
