WAREHOUSE LEAD

Introduction

A local marine operator is currently recruiting Warehouse Lead based in their Chaguaramas office on a contractual basis initially.  The Warehouse Lead will oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of product, inventory/fixed assets, maintain receiving and inventory control records and prepare related reports. Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.  Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ performance.

 Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to drivers, and warehouse personnel.
• Oversee the efficient operation of the yard, warehouse, and all transport vehicles.
• Provide inventory management in the best overall economic interest of the company.
• Oversee daily and monthly inventory counts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring no product leaves or enters the warehouse without the necessary paperwork.
• Determine the storage location of products.
• Ensures that all parts are in stock, maintains proper inventory.
• Ensure that the warehouse has proper safety signs.
• Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe and secure condition.
• Make recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency.
• Assist in the development of the Inventory Module in the ERP.
• Assist in developing and implementing KPIs and KPI reporting.

 Education and Experience

• BSc Degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification; training in accounting and supply chain management.
• At least five to seven years’ experience in warehouse management, logistics and supply chain management or distribution.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to meet deadlines and be detail oriented.
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop staff.
• Excellent interpersonal, human relations and leadership skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to implement processes to assist with duties.
