Summary

The Turks and Caicos Islands Community College is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President to provide leadership and strategic direction for the College’s overall academic and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in higher education leadership, a deep understanding of diversity and inclusion, student success, governance, quality and standards, and accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Management

a. Provide strategic direction for the institution’s academic and administrative operations.

b. Collaborate with the President and other senior leaders to develop and implement the institution's strategic plan.

c. Manage the institution’s budget and resources, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.

d. Oversee the recruitment and leadership of a diverse team of academic and administrative staff.

e. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence across the College.

 2. Diversity and Inclusion

a. Develop and implement strategies to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of the institution’s policies and practices.

b. Provide leadership and support to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

c. Promote diversity and inclusion through curriculum development, faculty hiring, and student recruitment.

3. Student Success

a. Develop and implement strategies to enhance student success, retention, and graduation rates.

b. Collaborate with academic departments and other stakeholders to improve academic and training programmes, advising, and support services.

c. Ensure that the institution’s policies and practices are aligned with best practices for student success.

 4. Governance

a. Work with the President, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure effective governance of the College.

b. Ensure compliance with all relevant local and regional regulations, as well as accreditation standards.

c. Serve as a liaison between the College and external stakeholders, including government agencies, professional organisations, and community partners.

5. Quality and Standards

a. Oversee the development and implementation of academic standards and policies that ensure the quality of the institution’s programmes and services.

b. Ensure that the institution’s accreditation standards are established, met and maintained.

c. Develop and implement assessment strategies to monitor and improve the quality of academic and training programmes.

Performs other duties as assigned to support the College’s mission.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree education, educational leadership, public administration or equivalent; preferred PhD or E.D

Location: Providenciales

Salary - USD 67,775.00 Per Annum

Telephone Allowance - USD 1,200.00 Per Annum

Transport Allowance - USD1,200.00 Per Annum

Overseas recruit are eligible for a Housing Allowance of USD10,200.00 Per Annum 

Settling-in allowance

A 10% gratuity awarded at end of the successful contract
