QUALITY HEALTH SAFETY ENVIRONMENT INTERN/SITE SAFETY OFFICER

Duties include:

• Ensure that the best practices are being followed during our site operations.
• Ensure all work is being carried out in a safe manner as prescribed by the QHSE standards.
• Follow up and ensure reports are filed for all accidents, incidents, and near misses on site.
• Ensure all vehicle/equipment daily safety checks are completed.
• Record and advise of all QHSE breaches by both company personnel and subcontractors
• Monitor dust mitigation by the water truck.
• Conduct and record daily toolbox talks.
• Coordinate flag personnel on-site to ensure they are placed at the required location/points for traffic control.

 Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer in a mining or quarrying environment.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards applicable to mining operation
• Effective interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organization skills.
• Experience in the Construction and Mining Industry is an asset.
