Legal Clerk

within the

 LITIGATION DEPARTMENT

 in a Law Firm (Jamaica)

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years legal work-related experience, in particular having worked in or having interfaced with the Parish Courts, Supreme Court and/or Court of Appeal;

• High School Diploma or equivalent;

• Minimum of 5 GCE/CXC or equivalent, inclusive of English Language and Mathematics;

• Working knowledge interfacing with representatives from: Companies Office, Stamp Office, National Land Agency and/or JIPO;

• Must be efficient and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills, both orally and in written format;

• Must be able to use initiative and to undertake multiple assignments simultaneously;

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Functions

• To provide full and reliable legal support services to Attorneys-at-Law and Paralegals ensuring that the relevant duties are executed in a timely and efficient manner.

• Liaise with individuals and businesses externally in a professional manner as a representative of the Firm.
