Massy Wood is recruiting for a Senior QA QC Inspector with significant experience in the oil and gas industry.
The Senior QA QC Inspector will be responsible for leading and assisting the execution of the quality assurance and quality control program by ensuring full compliance to processes and documentation within Construction Delivery Services portfolio.
- Review and Certify PQR, WPS and welder qualifications.
- Review non-destructive reports and data as required.
- Participate and provide input into weldability reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Compile, review, and acceptance of Dossiers packages where required.
- Review of sub-contractor procedures and quality documentation such as ITP’s, inspection procedures, drawings, isometrics.
- Conduct surveillance audits and self-verification on work related documentation and processes to ensure applicable codes and standards are maintained and activity set complies with same.
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions in response to the identification of non-conforming products and services through QA/QC Audits or otherwise, until the unsatisfactory condition has been rectified.
- Lead and participate in Quality Stand-downs and associated quality related awareness sessions.
- Anticipate potential roadblocks and provide technical proactive solutions to quality related issues encountered in the field to eliminate rework.
- Provide technical input into tracking in relation to the cost of poor quality.
- Trend quality data and provide monthly reports applicable to same.
- Validates the approval, distribution, and revision of Procedures and Inspection Test Plans for overall Construction activity. Liaises with the Construction Department where necessary.
- Responsible for the initiation, collection, disposition, and retention of QA/QC records in a timely manner in accordance with documented procedures.
- Manages sub-contracted companies to ensure quality compliance as per Massy Wood, Industry best practice, international standard, and Client specifications.
- Ensure fabrication and welding activities complies and is executed in accordance with Massy Wood and Client specifications.
- Perform site inspections at subcontractor workshops which include but not limited to welding, NDE, painting and/or coating, and hydro-testing where applicable.
- Review all inspection reports for compliance, with reference to applicable industry codes, international standards, and procedures.
- Performs all other related job functions as required.
