Maintenance Technician

The incumbent is responsible for the day to day maintenance and safety of equipment and plant within the scope described ensuring efficiency and reduced down time on all equipment. He/she also works on the production floor in the packing department.

Main Responsibilities, Qualifications and Experience:

• Installing, servicing, repairing and providing reports on equipment to ensure efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Providing routine checks and quick response to unexpected breakdowns.
• Responsible for general regular maintenance of equipment.

• Certified technical training on electrical and mechanical repairs
• Certification NTCVET Level3 in Mechanical or other Engineering Field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry would be an asset

This position requires the Maintenance Technician to work (but not exclusive to) late evening, night shifts and weekends.
