The Replenishment Manager will use historical demand data to ensure the accurate & timely restocking of CBL Distribution Centers.

 

  Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations & Services Director, the Replenishment Manager will use historical demand data to ensure the accurate and timely restocking of all CBL Distribution Centers while maintaining balanced days of stock across the board based on the company’s inventory policy and avoiding Out of Stock as well as expiry. The incumbent will be required to check the orders in transit and physical inventory on a daily basis and creates Purchase Orders in order to plan stock replacement bearing in mind delivery lead time and maintaining optimal days of stock level in line with the target set in the inventory policy

The Replenishment Planner is required to liaise with the Parent Company with regards to forecasting and production planning on a day to day, weekly and monthly basis to minimize possible gaps in production versus requirement.

 

 

   Major Responsibilities

Daily

  • Track physical inventory levels and orders in transit daily to plan replenishment and ensure stock is balanced across the distribution Centers
  • Configure Purchase Orders in SAP to match the daily stock replacement for the Distribution Centers
  • Send Purchase Order details to the Parent Company with SKUs palletized
  • Release Purchase Orders in SAP and e-mail the copies to the warehouse personnel and DC Manager
  • Check daily blocking reports to ensure that available product is not blocked.
  • Provide inventory status information to add to the Daily Inventory Report sent daily.
  • Analyze days of stock to determine SKUs to be dispatched as priority and send details to the Parent Company.
  • Send outstanding orders to the Parent Company daily.
  • Check customer orders not posted in SAP daily to see whether inventory availability was the issue and advise Customer Service when to re-order
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety requirements for the role as prescribed by the business
  • Any other responsibilities as required by the business

 

Weekly

  • Check the BBE of the SKUs in the Distribution Center Weekly to avoid expired product and move stock where needed and escalate when necessary.
  • Pull the sales for the past four weeks from the Business Warehouse Data Base to update the sales history in weekly replenishment sheet
  • Create a rolling forecast using the SDG and current sales trend to be updated and sent on a weekly basis to the parent company and Operations Director
  • Do a Supply Review Analysis to be discussed with the Parent Company weekly to include OTIFNE and Production Gap
  • Meet weekly with the Logistics Team of the Parent Company to highlight operative issues.
  • Send Sales for DCs when requested

 

Monthly

  • Attend SDG meetings with the CBL Exec and the Parent Company Exec on a monthly Basis to discuss the plans for the month following and initiate action for slow moving SKUs and close dated products especially innovations and also highlight Gaps in production that might affect the inventory and by extension the sales target.
  • Collate the month end Supply Review to evaluate overall productivity.
  • Ensure month end closing Day of Stock target is met (combination of all tasks above)
  • Ensure year end closing Day of Stock target is met (combination of all tasks above)
  • Collate inventory value per DC and overall CBL

 

 

 Specialized knowledge, skills, and training required:

  • Knowledge of Company accounting policy
  • Computer literate, skilled in SAP, EXCEL spreadsheet and other applications.
  • Sound internal control systems.
  • Effective communicator both orally and written
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Detailed Oriented
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Ability to plan work to meet stipulated deadlines
  • Be skilled in inventory management and stock control
  • Be able to capture and use historical data to determine replenishment while reducing the cost of holding inventory and OOS impact.
  • Ability to maintain stock levels based on the inventory policy taking into consideration replenishment order lead times
  • Ability to track variations in demand overtime based on trend and seasonality as well as plan for intermittent demand
  •  Ability to collate inventory value on a monthly basis

 

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics & Supply or related field
  • 3-4 Years’ experience in related field.


  

 

Working Condition: (e.g. dust, dirt, heat, abnormal hours, frequent travel, overtime, etc.)

  • Predominantly 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; may be required to work outside the set work hours
  • Will be exposed to a Distribution Center & Warehouse environment, at an occasional frequency
  • Frequent to moderate walking short/long distances within the Distribution Center, Office and Warehouse areas
  • Occasional traveling requirements, CBL Head Office and/or Distribution Centers across the island when necessary
  • Occasional exposure to forklifts & delivery trucks within the Warehouse area
  • Expected to operate within an “open” concept office environment.
