Distribution Analyst (Distribution Sector)

Overview: Our client is one of the leading suppliers of products across the Caribbean with outlets on most islands. Due to growth and “fine tuning” of operations, they are seeking to appoint a proven professional in the Barbados Head - Office  meet their objectives. 

The successful candidate will support the distribution team and logistics coordinator and assist with deliveries by completing a daily review of the delivery process ensuring any errors made are highlighted and corrected. Ensuring that deliveries are being maximized by reviewing orders in the system and addressing any non-delivery issues.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Tracks operator hours vs truck operator hours by reconciling daily truck reports against employee time sheets. 
  • Assist supervisor with creating and maintaining KPIs for department. 
  • Produce metrics for Logistics Coordinator. Submit weekly report on delivery efficiency. 
  • Prepares reports and review delivery execution, stock movement and any other reports related to dispatch process. 
  • Reconcile loading tickets against delivery notes and invoices for products. 
  • Reconciles deliveries for deliveries delivered by contractors to calculate payments. 
  • Maintains files for delivery transactions processed and payment information.   
  • Works closely with ramp supervisor, customers, marketing team and inventory coordinator to track new products purchased by customers and provide information to sales team for tracking, to ensure adequate stock levels. 
  • Escalate any orders older/outstanding that are late.
  • Prepares daily reconciliation of products for update of inventory. 
  • Creates sales orders and invoices for walk-in customers. 
  • Acts as relief for Scheduler Dispatch Supervisor

 

 Desired Skills/Qualifications 

  • BSc Management,  Logistics Supply chain preferred.

 

  • Experience in Distribution/Logistics essential.

 

  • Strong Analytical Skills

 

  • Good customer service experience,

 

  • Intermediate/Advanced competency in Excel/MS-Office.
