Are you looking to enhance your career in Logistics? If so, we are looking for you to take responsibility for the management of the warehouse team and ensure goods are received, stored and delivered in accordance with company procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the systems, policies and procedures of Courts for the effective warehouse management
  • Assist in the formulation of long term strategic plans for the distribution center.
  • Assist in the formulation of departmental strategic plans in accordance with the overall strategic plans of the distribution center
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for all sections of the distribution center.
  • Review the warehouse daily to ensure the facility is secured, well organized and that damage to products, equipment and staff are prevented

R & R and CAPEX

  • Manage all refurbishment projects to prevent or minimise the company’s exposure to risk due to project delays, unplanned damage to existing structures, stock, physical harm to customers and staff. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Lead the planning and implementation of refurbishment and construction project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Manage all refurbishment and construction projects to ensure that quality standards and all Occupational health and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Keep track of progress and ensuring that the project is on time and on budget constantly, report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Ensure Daily counts are executed, discrepancy investigated and reconciliation done in a timely manner
  • Organize regular stock counts as prescribed by the stock Inventory department

 

Education and Required Skills

  • MBA/Bachelors Degree in Logistics or in business management or equal tertiary level education or related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and develop staff to achieve company targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
