This is a Supervisory level position. The purpose of this position is to manage the daily HR function in the Warehouse/Club. The position is critical in ensuring that the day to day operations of the business are carried out within the guidelines of established Company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with recruitment, selection and placement of staff
  • Provides staff orientation on an ongoing basis
  • Manages employee data in an accurate and efficient manner on the HRIS, Kronos and Domo systems.
  • Implements policies and procedures as it relates to Human Resources
  • Provides training to staff in the Warehouse as required
  • Ensures that performance is managed effectively and the relevant communication is provided to all parties concerned.
  • Critically reviews absenteeism and punctuality data and recommend relevant solutions.
  • Assists with disciplinary matters in a timely and confidential manner
  • Manages and coordinates staff engagement activities
  • Manages the Benefit portfolio such as Group Life, Group Health and Pension

 

Minimum Education/Experience
  • Minimum 2 years university-based studies in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role preferably in the retail environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system and AS400
