The incumbent will be responsible to develop, implement and maintain effective electrical and mechanical systems

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/MAJOR TASKS: 

  • Monitor all the facility’s electrical infrastructure (a/c units, building electrical systems, generators, refrigerated containers, electronic security systems) and all other related systems to ensure that they are maintained in good working order.
  • Monitor all mechanical systems including air-handling systems, refrigerators, cooking equipment, fire protection.
  • Responsible for instructing, supervising, and approving work done by contractors.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Bill of Quantities for electrical and mechanical installations.
  • Develops maintenance schedules and supervises implementation.
  • Responsible for obtaining estimates for contract work.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation for electrical and mechanical systems including manuals and schematics.
  • Controls the movement of materials and equipment from stores.
  • Distribute work orders
  • Supervise and assist in ordering of spare parts

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical
  • Certified Electrician
  • PMP Certification would be an asset.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience at a supervisory level in the field of electrical engineering

  • Air Conditioning Technology (HVAC)
  • Inspection and test procedure, measure, equipment
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Technology
  • Engineering trends, standards, practices and processes
  • Engineering trends, standards, practices and processes
  • Procurement and tendering processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct mechnical, electrical and electronic defects
  • Ability to read electrical and electronic drawings
  • Must be abe to use Engineering drawing software such as MS Visio, AutoCAD
  • Analytical Skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
