We are looking for an Accounting Assistant who will be a crucial part of our accounting team, with responsibilities for payables, receivables, and other key accounting tasks.

We are looking for a full time Accounts Assistant who will be a crucial part of our accounting team, with responsibilities spanning across payables, receivables, and other key accounting tasks. This individual will handle daily bookkeeping and record-keeping operations, process invoices, and carry out bank reconciliations. The assistant will also aid in the preparation of monthly financial reports, maintain up-to-date financial information, and assist with audits when necessary.

 

Job Duties: 

1. Handle day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely manner and provide efficient client service including purchases, expenses, and petty cash.
2. Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
3. Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis.
4. Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and financial reports.
5. Maintain company accounting procedures and processes.
6. Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Stanadards (IFRS).
7. Maintain financial document retention files for required period of time.
8. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files.



Job Specifications:

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
- Proficiency with accounting software, data entry, data analysis, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
