Use knowledge of company products to connect with customers to generate sales through the use of sales pitches, cold calls to sales leads and/or receiving calls from prospective customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


  • Organize daily work schedules to visit and/or call existing and prospective customers to present, promote and sell the company’s products using solid arguments. 

  • Communicate to customers relevant information about products, prices, and credit terms.

  • Expedite the resolution of customer challenges and complaints to maximize satisfaction.

  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.

  • Provide management with reports on customer needs, challenges, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

  • Obtaining deposits and balance of payment owed to the company from clients in a timely manner.

  • Recommends changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

  • Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders.

  • Estimate delivery dates and arrange delivery schedules for orders received.

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships to ensure future sales.

  • Work to achieve an agreed sales target assigned within schedule.

  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, 

  • Continuously improve through customer feedback

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE/ PERMITS


  • BSc. Marketing, Business Administration or its equivalent.

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience (in a similar position would be an asset) in a large scale commercial or industrial size company.

  • A valid Food Handler’s Permit



REQUIRED SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT(S)

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.

  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.

  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
