Dispatcher

Facilitate the timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers by meticulously reviewing goods picked and ensuring that goods picked are accurate and in saleable condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Check in with Supervisor on shift intermittently and review the staging area to see if there are any goods ready to be dispatched. 
• Report to Supervisor any discrepancies between what has to go and what is not yet picked.
• Follow up on any orders which cannot be delivered on time and inform Supervisor. 
• Ensure deliveries are done in the most efficient manner by informing the Supervisor if goods cannot fit or if there is any utilized space on the truck
• Ensure delivery trucks are properly loaded (that is, goods are packed with care; and the truck is loaded to maximize the rate paid).
• Ensure that products are in good condition, neither damaged nor expired (unless otherwise stated and approved).
• Load delivery vehicle using Trend generated invoice or transfer and properly approved delivery note. (Immediately report any discrepancies to Supervisor).
• Ensure that proper documents accompany delivery i.e. invoice, P.O., Liquor license and any other necessary document. 
• Ensure procedures are followed to maintain discipline and order on the ramp when loading vehicle.
• Attend to walk in customers as required
• Service van sales customers.
• Ensure that goods are in a saleable condition that is they are clean and have good expiry dates.
• Assist in other areas of work based on the needs of the department and any other area as necessary in support of Company activities.
• All responsibilities and accountabilities must be executed in accordance with the company’s Customer Service Management System (CSMS), Quality Health and Safety Environment (QHSE) and Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) policies and practices.
