This job requires an experienced Civl/Structrual Engineer, with active work experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, with a track record of providing the technical knowledge and competence necessary for operating in a heavily client centered project environment.

Summary of the role
The successful candidate must be able to:
  • Develop and review project estimates and schedules, progress reports, and project specific manpower forecasts
  • Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts for key quantities
  • Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
  • Review and approve vendor lists, prepare quotation requests/bid tabulations/purchase orders. 
  • Prepare/review scopes of work for third party contracts
  • Develop and build external relations with Client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors to promote Client service excellence
Key Attributes/Requirments:
  • B.Sc in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Bachelor degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years Engineering experience, with a focus on design within the Oil and Gas Sector
  • Recognized Professional Certification or Registration (e.g. BOETT or APETT)
  • A firm understanding of wind and seismic loading (offshore designs would be an asset)
  • Ability to perform designs for foundations, concrete and steel structures
  • Computer modeling and analysis using STAAD, RISA, SAP2000 or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with an ability to work well under pressure
  • Experienced in developing Scope of Works, and providing input into project estimates, schedules, and progress reports
  • Ability to visit Client Sites (onshore and offshore) in your capacity as the Engineer
  • Project Management experience with the execution of small to medium projects
  • Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and problem solving 
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and Work Ethic
  • Team Oriented
