ELECTRONIC SECURITY SYTEMS TECHNICIANS-

The general purpose of this position is to Install, Service, Programme Electronic Security Systems. able to troubleshoot and make repairs across various product lines whenever necessary.

ELECTRONIC SECURITY  SYTEMS TECHNICIANS- ISLANDWIDE

Main Purpose of Job

The general purpose of this position is to Install, Service, Programme Electronic Security Systems to include Intrusion Detection, Panic, Video Surveillance and Electronic Access Control Systems of varying types and models.  Troubleshoot and make repairs across various product lines whenever necessary.

Qualification & Experience

.Training at a Vocational/Technical/Business School in Electrical/electronics

.Electronic, Electrical & Mechanical Aptitude

.Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical/security/electrical installation position

. HEART TRUST NSTA Certification in Industrial Electronics

.Knowledge of home Electrical/Electronics systems and/ or motor vehicle electronics

.Basic knowledge of ability to operate hand and power tools

.Working knowledge of Intrusion Detection/Access Control and Fire Alarms systems would be an asset

.Must be computer literate -MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Key Activities & Responsibilities

.Install, Service, Programme Electronic Security Systems to include Intrusion Detection, Panic, Video

 Surveillance and Electronic Access Control systems.

.Establish security alarm system by installing equipment, running and pulling wiring, programming and

 calibrating equipment, as well as adhering to codes, regulations and standards

.Maintain safe and secure work environment by following safe practices and keeping security information

  confidential

.Perform testing/implementation of new solutions and support commercial initiatives through the department

.Plan security installations by surveying and evaluation location, identifying alarm installation requirements

 and laying-out equipment and wiring plan

.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and

  working with demonstration products

.Perform any other related duties assigned.
