Manager – Payments & E-Services (Banking Sector) 

Overview: Our client is one of the longest established financial institutions in Barbados with an ever-growing customer base. Due to growth and investment in technology, they are seeking to appoint a professional with Payments & E-Services experience. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that payroll / ACH payments are processed accurately and on time and manage and resolve any issues related to such payments. Also, to manage the section effectively and efficiently in delivering quality, value-added services under the policies and procedures of the company.

  •  Provide strategic and proactive guidance with respect to payment processing, card scheme compliance, problem solving, data analytics and utilization to determine compliance requirements priority.

 

  • Manage payroll / ACH workload to meet operational requirements and resolve issues relating to payroll/ ACH production.

 

  • Process payments resulting from E-Services / Mobile Banking / ATM reimbursements.

 

  • Generate and review statistical reports from applicable software.

 

  • Maintain and manage the Complaints Management System.

 

  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate department staff's performance against the Department's goals and objectives.

 

  • Liaise with all member companies’ payroll administrators across industries.

 

  • Model a high standard of behaviour in terms of attendance and punctuality, service quality, health and safety practices, teamwork and co-operation and commitment to continuous improvement.

 

  • Maintain confidentiality of all information gained as part of the duties performed.

 

  • Maintain a professional, polite, responsive, and understanding attitude always when dealing with members, colleagues, and members of the public. 

 

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Banking, Finance or related field.

 

  • Five (5) years or more experience in a financial services environment,
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations relevant to payroll administration in financial services.

 

  • Strong Information Technology skills – ability to use Microsoft Office suite.

 

  • In-depth knowledge of the payments services platforms (ACH, internet based, card and merchants services).  

 

  • Proficiency in relevant payroll, ACH and accounting software
