The Marketing & E-Commerce Assistant will play a vital role in the Marketing & E-Commerce department, with a strong focus in website content, as well as assisting with marketing initiatives and customer care. This is an all-encompassing role that will allow you to be exposed to a broad range of marketing and e-commerce activities across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
E-Commerce
- Write quality online product descriptions to help the customer make a purchasing decision.
- Write editorial and promotional copy for the website, including blog posts social media posts and stories.
- Maintain the online product database and categories to ensure information is accurate and appealing.
- Liaise with the Graphic/ Photo Specialist, Creative Lead and Category Management team to obtain images as needed.
- Apply Search Engine Optimisation principles to all generated content.
- Make recommendations based on product purchase declines/increases to ensure movement of stock.
- Contribute towards achieving sales targets as well as meet or exceed product upload targets.
- Assist the E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Specialist with updating content on website and setting up discounts, troubleshooting errors, etc.
Customer Care
- Promptly resolve any e-commerce sales-related / customer-related issues including refunds.
- Ensure customers receive outstanding level of service with each concern or request.
- Ensures Gift Registries are placed online, Payment on Deliveries (PODs) and any queries are processed within 24 hours of receiving from the Branch, Warehouse or Customers.
- Assist and guide warehouse and branches to ensure that customer orders are effectively sourced, fulfilled and shipped out accordingly.
- Provides customer support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone, social media and other electronic medium.
Marketing
- Assist Marketing & E-Commerce Manager with various marketing projects.
- Assist with coordinating and supporting all Company events such as product launches, and any other promotional events.
- Assist with creating content on Excellent Stores social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Blogs etc. as necessary.
- Assist with conducting marketing research.
- Provide general administrative support including photocopying, laminating, mailing, filing, preparing documents, presentations etc.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, Business Management, or related field.
- Five CXC Subjects including Mathematics and English.
- Experience in a digital retail environment is an asset.
- Demonstrated Knowledge of marketing principles and understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment.
- Very technically savvy.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of and awareness of trends in the retail industry.
