OFFICE ATTENDANT
An organization engaged in industrial and maritime development, wishes to recruit an OFFICE ATTENDANT.
The successful candidate will be responsible for
- Providing refreshments and meals for staff, and at meetings and carry out messenger duties when required
- Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages to staff and visitors.
- Maintaining kitchenette, appliances and utensils in a clean and organised manner
- Checking rooms daily, remove used ancillary items; ensure room is clean and tidy and ready for meetings
- Serving refreshment when meetings are in session and lunch when required and clearing away when finished.
- Ensuring:
- Adequate ancillary items (tea, coffee, milk, ice, water, etc) is supplied and maintained.
- Bathrooms have adequate supplies of toiletries by conducting periodic checks during the day
- Water is available on assigned floor;
- Garbage bins in offices and kitchenette are removed daily, and replaced with clean ones
- Cleaning refrigerator, cupboards, etc
- Picking up and deliver mail and other supplies for assigned floor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Customer and personal service,
- Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines,
- Food preparation techniques
- Kitchen appliances and related cleaning devices
- Safety precautions applicable to the duties
- Health and safety protocols for handling food
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- HEART Level 1 Food Preparation/General Housekeeping certificate
- Graduate of a secondary level institution
- Certificate in catering from a recognised institution
- Valid Food Handler’s permit PLUS
- Two (2) years working experience in a medium size organization
