The Entertainment Manager will collaboratively lead the entertainment team and a comprehensive entertainment program; think creatively and can customize approach as required.

 

 Entertainment Manager 

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Assumes management responsibility for managing, attracting, contracting, and delivering a variety of entertainment; oversees ongoing and daily performance of entertainment staff to achieve guests’ satisfaction.
  • Oversee project specific creative consultants for show content, serving as internal liaison with entertainment staff. 
  •  Responsible for leading ideation for new ideas for live entertainment with internal entertainment staff and outside consultants. 
  • Responsible for ongoing show checks and ensure that quality standards and creative executions are maintained. 
  • Develop, plan and ensure the execution of talent strategies for the department of diversity recruitment, talent forecasting and pipelining, resource and relationship management.
  • Effectively manage, coach and train a team of recruiters to deliver excellent results; instill a standard of excellence in all aspects of the full life cycle hiring process.
  • Ensures show quality standards are maintained at all times. Regularly obtains feedback from guests to improve delivery.
  • Mentors’ department managers to develop their skills and leadership abilities.
  • Manages company goals, objectives and priorities for assigned service area; recommends and administer policies and procedures.
  • Generates innovative ideas for entertainment and event concept development.
  • Develops the department operating budget and produces monthly budget variance reports; develops strategic financial, operational, artistic and technical plans for entertainment proposals.
  • Maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the industry standard, state of the art technical innovations and the competitive environment.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages feedback and innovation.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing with all associates, peers, supervisors and support departments
  • Conduct weekly meetings with managers to review success, opportunities, and plan for the upcoming week.
  • Establish, teach, and demonstrate exceptional customer service through training, development and leading by example.
  • Assess subordinates on positive performance and assist with formal performance evaluations.
  • Any other duties that may be required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in performing arts or a related field, plus five (5) years’ experience in entertainment department management to include experience booking and contracting entertainment, budget preparation, reporting and supervisory experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset.

Experience and Skills

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
