Unitrade Plus Ltd. is one of the primary fastener distribution companies in Jamaica which supplies the manufacturing and construction sectors with critical supplies.  We are located in Temple Hall. St. Andrew, and are currently recruiting for the following roles:

WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Core Function

Reporting to the General  Manager, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse and distribution facility to ensure customers’ orders are delivered in full and on time, whilst driving value and profitability.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing and leading a team of seven
• Implementing and driving operational efficiencies.
• Overseeing the implementation of a new lean improvement plan within the department
• Working with the Executive Leadership team to ensure the warehousing and distribution operations are properly and efficiently aligned to support the growth and development of the company
• Inventory management including managing the  receival, storage and dispatch processes
• Regular liaison with sales and other departments to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Monitoring and improving Delivery in Full on Time in Spec ( DIFOTIS) performance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

• BSc in Management or Business Administration with emphasis on operations and/or project management
• At least five years’ experience in a similar management role
• Working knowledge of various inventory management software and lean improvement systems/software

• Demonstrable track record of successfully managing and leading warehousing and logistics operations in a growing organization.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Effective problem-solving leader who is strategic and applies the requisite business acumen to assess processes and systems and implements the best decision in the interest of the viability of the company.
• A driver with a good balance of social and analytical capabilities
