The Senior Manager of Digital Transformation & Innovation will collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead the identification and implementation of automation initiatives that align with the Group’s strategic objectives.

This role will be primarily responsible for the successful execution of projects that leverage Application Programming Interface (API), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design and embed new ways of working, develop strategies to accelerate digital transformation and innovation and drive operational efficiency.
  • Provide thought leadership on innovative approaches to problem solving and strategic advice to the Group’s CIO regarding best practice and opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Support the business in developing core digital skills via customer-centered design thinking, agile delivery and ensuring knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to capitalize on digital and other innovation opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Derive KPIs, driving outcome and adoption for digital transformation throughout the Group.
  • Contribute to the design and evaluation of technology solutions pertaining to user experience, data quality and security.
  • Develop a unified data warehouse to facilitate data analytics, build automated reports and enhance business intelligence.
  • Facilitate the business’ understanding of good digital experience and use data-driven methods to enhance customer digital engagement.
  • Consistently assess IT applications to ensure proper release management and that the functionality is consistently satisfying the business’ requirements.
  • Assist with the identification and management of IT Risks and set up appropriate structures for risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to overall business strategy formulation and sit on internal and/or external committees, as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing relevant reports for submission to the Boards of Directors, Regulators and IT Steering Committee.
  • Assist the Group’s CIO in executing other key strategic imperatives, as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • Postgraduate or professional certifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or another equivalent field.
  • Experience in implementing digital transformation and organizational change and fostering digital culture and capability development.
  • At least 5 years’ experience delivering financial technology solutions that leverage API, RPA, AI, ML and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse organization.
  • Strategic planning and advanced leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop requests and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge ICT services.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to business units in the assessment and development of existing and/or proposed systems.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in ICTs.
  • This role requires travel for business purposes.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: 

Financial

  • IT Project delivery performance with respect to quality, budget and timeline

Operational

  • End user survey for ICT performance, training and support.
  • Acceptable internal and external IRM audit results.
  • ICT project program delivery score.
  • Uptime rate of Business-Critical Systems and Applications.
  • Number of security incidents (and cost to company).

Strategic

  • ICT Strategic Plan updated and accepted by IT steering committee.
  • ICT strategic plan effectiveness score (number of relevant Group ICT innovations successfully implemented vs total planned).

Innovation

  • Digital Transformation & Strategic Objectives are being met.
  • Monitoring the implementation and utilization of innovation to ensure current relevance.
