Fairfield International Academy, located in Montego Bay, is a co-educational, private international school, offering an international curriculum that adheres to challenging, global standards while staying true to the Jamaican heritage. Our students earn an American high-school diploma in an international, college preparatory environment with low faculty:student ratios. Our faculty are conversant in a variety of curricula from the IB to international and independent school curricula from around the world, including Jamaica. In addition to serving as advisors, role models, involved colleagues, and prominent community members, our teachers innovate and inspire in their classrooms with inquiry-based instruction, project-based learning and technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the individualized learning and achievement of all students in science, ensuring equal opportunities for all. Teachers are responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in students’ work and conduct. They will have the ability to lead, collaborate with, motivate and support colleagues while forging positive relationships with parents.

Criteria for this position:

• Bachelor's Degree/ Master's Preferred
• 5+ years’ teaching experience
• Mastery of science content in biology and chemistry to teach at the AP and Diploma Programme (IB) levels, as well as standard Middle School science.
