JOB TITLE Facilities Manager

 

Reports to: General Manager  

 

Accountable to: General Manager and Board of Directors

Job Summary

  • Overall responsibility for HSSE.
  • Overall responsibility for Facilities Management.
  • Be responsible for all Maintenance proactive schedules/routines.
  • Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
  • Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance / Operations.
  • Maintain all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.
  • Create and implement maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
  • Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
  • Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
  • Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
  • Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
  • Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
  • Manage any refurbishments, renovations, and office moves to make sure they all run smoothly and according to plan.
  • Provide general upkeep and maintenance of buildings to ensure that they meet health and safety standards and all legal requirements.
  • Manage the cleaning, waste disposal, security, and parking of each site.
  • Manage relevant budgets, keeping records of all payments.
  • Any Other related duties requested by the line manager.

 

Knowledge and Experience 

Preferred Education/ qualifications:             

  • BSc. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, or a similar field is preferred.
  • A Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety will be an asset.
  • M.E.P. (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Certification will be considered an asset

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  1. 5+ Years in the area of Facilities Management.
  2. 2+ Years of Proven supervisory experience
  3. Ability to plan, schedule, train and supervise subordinates.
  4. Good Project Management Skills
  5. Experience in Commercial Building Design & Construction
  6. Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  7. Understanding of commercial Fire Alarm systems
  8. Previous Management/supervisory experience.
  9. Experience in Incident Management
  10. Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  11. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
