Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, the Senior Human Resource Officer is responsible for the coordination of all human resource areas.

CORPORATE SERVICES DIVISION

 The National Export-Import Bank of Jamaica Limited (EXIM Bank) is seeking to identify a suitably qualified individuals to fill the abovementioned post.  

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Administer training and development activities
  • Manage the performance management and appraisal system
  • Assist with the administration of disciplinary procedures
  • Assist with the administration of employee relation matters
  • Update and maintain all human resource management systems
  • Conduct surveys as required
  • Manage leave administration matters
  • Manage staff compensation and benefits
  • Assist with Budget preparation for the Division
  • Prepare critical HR metrics for HR policy and strategic decision making
  • Assist with HR risk management and implementation of risk reduction strategies within the Bank

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

The position requires the following qualifications/experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a business related discipline
  • Three (3) years’ work experience in Human Resource Management in a supervisory capacity
  • Additional certification that enhances Human Resource Management

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Sound knowledge of Human Resource Management practices and procedures
  • Sound knowledge of GoJ Human Resource Management policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Good investigative, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Good organizing and coordinating skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on promoting good teamwork
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
