We're hiring a Field Sales Development Manager

Our client is the largest manufacturer of non-alcoholic beverages in the English-speaking Caribbean. Their products have become a household name that consumers can trust some of which include; Chubby, Kool Kids, Fruta, and many more.

On their behalf, we are seeking a Field Sales Development Manager to drive sales through strategic execution and relationship management. The successful candidate will report directly to the Country Manager and work closely with the Area Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean based in Colombia.
Our ideal candidate understands the concept of "Influence without authority" and how important it is to the role.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • The Field Sales Development Manager will be in charge of the perfect execution of:  
  • Top 20 Wholesale accounts 
  • 20 opinion-leading independent supermarkets 
  • 20 opinion-leading convenience stores 
  • Key account plans within the top 4 supermarket key accounts in Jamaica (always accompany the distributor’s Key Account Manager in the meetings with these clients where SMJ programs will be discussed) 
  • Accounts may vary per quarter given excellence has been achieved so other stores can be executed and grow the execution base per quarter. 
  • The Field Sales Development Manager will use Propel (a merchandising and execution APP). 
  • Develop the perfect store benchmark per channel in the APP 
  • Weekly follow-up on the store base to assure perfect store execution standards 
  • Use Propel as the presentation tool to drive the distributor towards execution targets and KPIs 
  • Manage SMJ merchandiser supervisor to assure the execution 
  • Manage relationships with Distributor’s key stakeholders to assure targets and KPIs within Propel 
  • All reporting and tracking done through Propel APP only. Minimum reporting and administrative time will be necessary while maximum market visits and market executions and tracking in Propel are achieved.  
Qualifications and Education Requirements: 
  • BA Business/Marketing/Industrial Engineering or similar. 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales and merchandising in the consumer goods industry preferably within 3rd party distributors in Jamaica 
  • Key Account Management 
  • Merchandising management 
  • Sales force management 
  • Preferred Skills 
  • Focused and target-oriented individual eager to be on the road 80% of his time while developing strong relationships with clients and distributor’s key stakeholders to assure execution KPIs are met. Full of energy/strong negotiator/people’s person/able to influence with ought authority/hungry for variable salary.
